Well, our high school team didn't win sectional, but I went to the championship game and it was--I can't believe I'm using this word--AWESOME! Those kids were so good, so dignified in their loss. As the mom of one of the coaches, I wasn't quite as dignified, maybe, but I was certainly proud of them. So let me have a little moment here to just say GO WARRIORS! and then we can just go on with our conversation. Oops, sorry, I do need to say GO COLTS! first.
I wrote an essay for Senior Women, one of my favorite websites in the world. Go visit if you have a minute to spare. http://www.seniorwomen.com/articles/flaherty/articlesFlaherty30.html
Not much going on here these days, other than it's getting COLD and I still have summer-thin blood. Oh, and we changed times again, which makes me cranky. I'm one of those Hoosiers who was perfectly happy never having to go through the house changing 47 clocks every spring and every fall. I still feel that no matter how many times you change the clocks, there are only 24 hours in a day and in the months of November through January, only two or three of those hours are daylight! However, that's only one of the arguments I've lost in this lifetime.
Speaking of politics, I'm reading journalist Connie Shultz's memoir ...and His Lovely Wife and enjoying it immensely.
Have a good week. Till next time.Labels: Connie Shultz, Go Colts, Go Warriors

Liz, I loved your post on Senior Women! Life is hurrying by, but even if we wanted to, we can't go back. We only get one stab at this life. So we live with a few regrets and oodles of great memories. We've learned a bunch in these years. And now we get to share. But, who's listening? :-)
Blessings, Janet

Hi, Janet - Thanks for stopping by. I think you're right about the listening. Some things never change!

Liz, thanks for stopping by our Seekerville blog. I wouldn't have known you existed otherwise, and I wouldn't be buying your book, so this is totally a win/win.
I read the first chapter of The Debutante's Second Chance, and I loved your writing. Strong, vibrant and paints an immediate picture. Not an easy task.
Nice to 'meet' you, kid. I'll see you again either over here or in Seekerville.
